Terms of Use

Effective date: 3 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Guilherme Duro ("we", "us") governing your use of the second habit app. By using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

The app

second habit helps you build habits. You start with three habit slots and earn more by keeping habits for sixty days. The core app — habits, the sixty-day map, graduation, the timer, the daily check-in, reminders, and your history — is free.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse it, or use it to break the law or harm others.

Availability and language

The app is distributed worldwide through the Apple App Store and is provided in English only. It requires an iPhone running iOS 16.4 or later. You are responsible for complying with any laws that apply to you where you use it.

No account

The app has no accounts and no sign-in. All your data is stored on your device. You are responsible for your device and for any backups you choose to make of it. If you delete the app, its data — including private notes — is deleted with it and cannot be recovered by us.

Not health, medical, nutrition, or exercise advice

second habit does not provide medical, health, nutrition, or exercise advice, and does not prescribe any quantity, dose, or behaviour. It is a habit tracker with a timer, reminders, and written guidance about consistency — a place to record what you choose to do. Templates and examples (such as "drink water") are neutral prompts, not recommendations about what or how much you should do. The guided programs offer reflections on building a habit; they are not professional advice. Use your own judgement and consult a qualified professional for any health, dietary, fitness, or medical decision. You are responsible for what you choose to do.

Full Access (one-time purchase)

Full Access is a single, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription: there is nothing that renews and nothing to cancel.

  • What you're charged: the price shown in the app, once. Prices may vary by region and are shown before you buy.
  • When: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
  • What it unlocks: sixty-day guided programs, cross-habit statistics, the Sunday review, private notes with Face ID, ambient sounds and timer themes and app icons, and advanced reminders — plus every premium feature we add in future versions, at no additional charge.
  • Restoring: use "Restore Purchases" in the app (on the paywall or in Settings) to restore Full Access on a new device signed in to the same Apple ID.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms.
  • EU/EEA withdrawal: if you live in the EU/EEA, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases is exercised through Apple's refund process. Because the purchase gives you immediate access, buying it means you ask us to deliver the content right away.
Full Access never buys habit slots, or any capacity or content you would otherwise earn. Slots are always earned by keeping your habits — that will not change, and no payment unlocks them.

Your content

Your habits, history, and notes are yours. They live on your device; we never receive them and claim no rights over them.

Availability and disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't warrant it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Purchases and restores depend on Apple and RevenueCat and on your connection. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or €50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you breach these terms or misuse the app.

Apple

This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for any product-warranty claims, legal claims, or third-party intellectual-property claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are subject to the courts of Portugal, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will update the effective date and, where appropriate, be notified in the app. Continued use means acceptance.
